"Relations between Armenia and the Holy See are based on historical ties, rich spiritual and cultural heritage, which are a good basis for enriching the bilateral agenda, taking practical steps to deepen cooperation," Sarkissian said in his message on Saturday, March 13. Sarkissian confirmed Yerevan's interest in developing interstate relations with the Vatican and thanked the pontiff for his prayers that "warmed our hearts and souls".
