Russia's Armenian Union chief to participate in snap electionsMarch 27, 2021 - 13:01 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President of the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamyan will take part in upcoming snap elections in Armenia, Abrahamyan himself said an interview published on the Union's website. Abrahamyan did not specify the format of his participation, nor did he name a political force he intends to collaborate with. "I still feel guilty that I didn’t fight, I didn’t tell the truth, I didn’t ask who you are, where did you come from, what you have done in your life," Abrahamyan said in response to a question about Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. He also urged against taking bribes and harming Russian-Armenian relations. Snap parliamentary elections in Armenia will be held on June 20. Pashinyan came under fire after signing a statement with the Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents to end the war in Nagorno-Karabakh almost 45 days after the start of the military hostilities. Under the deal, the Armenian side was forced to return all the seven regions surrounding Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
