Karabakh: 150 houses will be built in Karmir Shuka

PanARMENIAN.Net - 150 houses will be built in the community of Karmir Shuka (Red Market) in Nagorno-Karabakh's (Artsakh) Martuni region, the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures said on Monday, March 29.

As a result of hostilities unleashed by Azerbaijan, infrastructure and homes have been damaged in the village. 15 houses were completely destroyed, of which 10 cannot be restored, the roofs of 43 buildings have already been replaced, and metal-plastic windows have been installed in 65 houses.

According to the Ministry of Territorial Administration, part of the community's population is engaged in agriculture and cattle breeding, there are 2-3 large farms, as well as workshops for the of vegetable oil, wine production facilities and other businesses.

Many families in nearby villages have expressed a desire to move to Karmir Shuka, as there are better jobs, a kindergarten, a newly built school and a community center in the village.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev on November 9 signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Under the deal, the Armenian side has returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
