Aliyev says "certain issues" still require solution in Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has said there are "certain issues" in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict after the war, which need to be resolved, Sputnik-Azerbaijan reports.

Aliyev said the situation is fragile. He said although the ceasefire is holding, there are still many issues that need to be resolved after the conflict.

The Azeri leader also said his country considers Armenians living in Karabakh to be its citizens. There are no plans to use force on the territory of "the compact settlement" of Armenians in Karabakh, he added

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev on November 9 signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Under the deal, the Armenian side has returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
