Azerbaijan to withdraw peacekeepers from Afghanistan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani peacekeepers will be withdrawn from Afghanistan, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense has said, according to Trend.

The United States began to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan on May 1. NATO forces are being withdrawn from the country too.

120 peacekeepers from Azerbaijan have been involved in the mission in Afghanistan since November 2002.
