Gaza's Health Ministry updated its death toll on Tuesday morning to 24, including 9 children, following a night of Israeli strikes. The ministry also added that 103 people were injured in the Strip. The Israeli military boosted its presence along the Gaza border and said it was suspending a major drill by a day to focus efforts on preparing for a possible escalation, and in southern Israel, authorities called on residents of Gaza border communities to remain at home and near bomb shelters until further notice. Israel's Arab citizens across the country will strike on Tuesday in solidarity with Palestinians in Jerusalem and Gaza, following the violent escalation on Monday night which left 24 Palestinians dead in the strip and hundreds more injured in both locations.
