64,293  doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered in Armenia so far

PanARMENIAN.Net - A total of 64,293 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered in Armenia since the beginning of the vaccination program in the country in mid-April, the Ministry of Health said on Monday, June 21.

Armenia is currently using AstraZeneca and CoronaVac vaccines to inoculate people aged above 18, while folks with underlying health conditions and healthcare and social care workers under the age of 54 are getting Sputnik-V shots. The vaccination program rolled out across the country in mid-April, with health authorities also setting up mobile vaccination facilities near shopping malls and on major streets in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.

Foreigners currently residing in Armenia too can receive the jabs free of charge.

The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Armenia grew by 26 to reach 224,253 on Monday. So far, 216,112 people have recovered, 4499 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 1095 others carrying the virus have died from other causes.
