Missing Armenian soldier discovered in critical condition

PanARMENIAN.Net - An Armenian soldier missing since July 28 morning has been discovered in a critical condition from injuries suffered while thwarting Azerbaijan's attack, Governor of Gegharkunik province Gnel Sanosyan has said, according to Hetq.

The serviceman will be transferred to Yerevan to receive appropriate medical care, Sanosyan revealed. According to him, the soldier was discovered in the vicinity of his position.

In the wee hours of July 28, the units of the Azerbaijani armed forces, which had infiltrated the sovereign territory of Armenia since May 12, attacked the Armenian positions located in the north-eastern section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, triggering local battles. Three Armenian troops were killed, three others were wounded in the process, the Defense Ministry said, adding that the Azerbaijani forces have been thwarted back to their positions.

The Azerbaijani side reported on two injuries, before agreeing to a Moscow-brokered restoration of the ceasefire.
