The 28-year-old athlete scored 14․733 points in the men's vault event to snatch the bronze medal. Shin Jea-hwan of South Korea won gold, while Denis Abliazin of the Russian Olympic Committee took silver. Davtyan is a European Youth Champion, silver medalist in the World Cup and a European champion.
