Armenian weightlifter wins gold at European Youth Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian weightlifter Rafik Minasyan won gold at the 2021 European Youth and U15 Championships currently underway in Poland․

Competing in the 61 kg weight category, Minasyan defeated two rivals from Turkey to secure gold.

In the snatch exercise, the Armenian athlete took the second place with a result of 114 kg, while in the clean and jerk event he outperformed the Turks and took gold, raising 144 kg above his head.

The Turkish athletes thus won silver and bronze.
