Levon Aronian takes 3rd place at Aimchess US Rapid

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian came in the third at the Aimchess US Rapid tournament on Sunday, September 5.

Aronian's opponent was supposed to be Alireza Firouzja but the latter was unable to continue due to health issues.

Reigning world champion Magnus Carlsen, meanwhile, won the first prize and called it “a fairly smooth ride” against Vladislav Artemiev.
