India keen to deepen defense cooperation with Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - India is ready to deepen cooperation with Armenia in the defense sector, Indian ambassador to Yerevan Kishan Dan Deval told Armenian Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan on Friday, October 1.

The two met in Yerevan, with Deval stressing the high level of political, cultural, economic and other relations between the two countries and saying that the Indian side is ready to deepen cooperation with Armenia, also in the defense sector.

Karapetyan, weighing in on cooperation with the Indian Ministry of Defense, indicated the importance of number of areas of mutual interest, in particular, the military-technical sphere.

In order to increase the efficiency of the Armenian-Indian military cooperation, an agreement was reached to intensify the activities of professional working groups, the Armenian Defense Ministry said.
