Sargsyan: Aliyev, his father lost to all 3 Armenian ex-Presidents

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former President Serzh Sargsyan has weighed in on Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's comments about him and Armenia, urging him against "talking behind his opponent's back and gossiping."

"If some forces have given you a gift on a tray, remember that you and your father lost to the previous three presidents of Armenia both on the battlefield and in diplomacy," Sargsyan said, according to Aysor.am.

"Not only I, but also the Minsk Group co-chairs, the leaders of their countries remember very well how Ilham Aliyev used to behave in my presence."

Sargsyan also said that the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakkh) issue is not resolved until the final status is clarified, and as long as the Armenians of Artsakh are under a serious threat every day, every hour.

Sargsyan, who is the leader the Republican Party, added that when they continue to insist that Artsakh will not be part of Azerbaijan, they stress that first the security and diplomatic potential of the country must be restored, state structures must be re-launched, and the people must be given back their faith and dignity.
