PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has spoken about "the recent positive signals from Armenia" on the delimitation of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, which it said "give hope for the constructive development of this process."

According to Leyla Abdullayeva, head of the Foreign Ministry's press service, Baku has declared its readiness to normalize relations with Armenia, as well as, on the basis of this fundamental principle of international law, to begin negotiations on the delimitation of borders.

"The delimitation of the borders of Azerbaijan and Armenia is a bilateral issue, and recent positive signals from the other side give hope for a constructive development of this process," Abdullayeva said on Monday, October 4.

Azerbaijani forces violated Armenia’s border in several sections in the provinces of Syunik and Gegharkunik on May 12 and 13 and are still refusing to withdraw their troops from the area. Since then, almost a dozen Armenian servicemen have been killed in Azerbaijan’s shooting, a dozen others have been wounde.
