Regional developments take center stage in Pashinyan-Putin phone talks

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, October 5 discussed the current situation and developments in the region over the phone.

Pashinyan initiated the call to congratulate Putin on his birthday and said Armenia and the Armenian people highly appreciate the efforts of Russian President Vladimir Putin, "his exceptional role in maintaining peace and stability in the region, and expressed gratitude for the attention paid to our country."

Putin stressed that Russia "attaches great importance to close cooperation with its strategic ally Armenia."

The two also weighed in on issues related to the agenda of Armenian-Russian relations.
