Armenian government planning to switch to electric cars

PanARMENIAN.Net - Government bodies in Armenia will switch to electric vehicles, the press service of the country's Ministry of Environment revealed on Wednesday, October 20.

The office of the Prime Minister, the Parliament and the Ministry have cut the number of government vehicles by 172 since 2018. In order to reduce maintenance and fuel costs, the transition to electric vehicles will gradually be completed, the Ministry added.

The program will be implemented with the assistance of the Global Environment Facility, with a total cost of about $ 5.4 million.

Within the program, 12 electric cars will also be purchased for the government, and two EV charging stations will be built.
