Luxembourg parliament adopts pro-Armenian resolution on PoWs

PanARMENIAN.Net - The parliament of Luxembourg has adopted a resolution demanding the repatriation of all Armenian prisoners of war still being held hostage in Azerbaijan, the Armenian Embassy in the Netherlands reports.

In the document published on Wednesday, November 10, the Luxembourg lawmakers urged their government to refrain from supporting the deepening of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union unless all the PoWs and civilian captives are freed.

Top Azerbaijani officials, including President Ilham Aliyev, have described the dozens of Armenian PoWs and civilians as "terrorists", refusing to release them. More than one year has passed since a ceasefire statement was signed, under which all prisoners of war and other detainees should have been repatriated long ago.
