Body of one Armenian soldier transferred from Baku to Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Commander of Russia's Southern Military District, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov has transferred the body of one Armenian serviceman, Taron Sahakyan (b. 1990) from Baku to Yerevan, the Defense Ministry reports. According to the authorities, the soldier was killed in Azerbaijan's latest offensive in the southern province of Syunik on November 16.

Muradov also met with Defense Minister Suren Papikyan who detailed the Russian military official about the clashes, as well as provided information about the Armenian troops captured during hostilities.

"An agreement was reached to continue intensive work both for the return of the captured servicemen and for the search for the missing servicemen."

In clashes launched by Azerbaijan on November 16, the Armenian side has confirmed the death of 2 servicemen, while 13 others have been captured by Azerbaijan. Two combat positions too have gone under the control of Azeri forces, 24 Armenian troops have gone missing.
