Pashinyan: Responsibility for escalation rests with Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is facing serious challenges threatening its security, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan on Friday, November 19.

"Our region was pushed into a new phase of tension, which, unfortunately, led to another human losses. The responsibility of that falls on Azerbaijan, whose military provocations are aimed at violating the territorial integrity of our country and thwarting the agreements reached by the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021," the PM said.

Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich and the Heads of Government of the EAEU member states – Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov – participated in the sitting.
