3 Armenian soldiers posthumously awarded medals

PanARMENIAN.Net - Three Armenian servicemen who died defending the homeland in Azerbaijan's latest offensive have been posthumously awarded for their service.

Lieutenant Taron Sahakyan was awarded the Medal for Military Service for services rendered while defending state borders.

Junior Sergeants Gurgen Sargsyan and Meruzhan Harutyunyan posthumously received the Medal of Courage, which is awarded for personal bravery demonstrated in the defense of the motherland.

In clashes launched by Azerbaijan on November 16, the Armenian side has confirmed deaths and injuries, while 13 soldiers have been captured by Azerbaijan. Two combat positions too have gone under the control of Azeri forces, 24 Armenian troops have gone missing.
