Hambardzum Matevosyan appointed Armenia Deputy PM![]() November 25, 2021 - 10:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Hambardzum Matevosyan has been appointed the new Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, according to a decree signed by President Armen Sarkissian. Previously, Matevosyan served as the governor of the Armavir province but was dismissed from the post on November 24. The Deputy Prime Minister's post had been vacant since November 15 when the vice-Premier Suren Papikyan was appointed Minister of Defense. ![]() ![]() Yerevan expects the Russian peacekeepers to ensure the withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops that have invaded Karabakh. The Security Council of Armenia drew the attention of Russia and the CSTO on Azerbaijan's continuous aggression. Karapetyan said Armenia was expecting Zas in May, when the situation in the region got quite tense, but no such trip happened back then.
