Aronian wins Amber 2009 tournament

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian won the Champion's title at 18th Amber Blindfold and Rapid tournament. In the 11th tour, the Armenian grandmaster, drawing against Bulgaria's Veselin Topalov in blindfold and rapid games 1:1. Aronian, outrunning India's Viswanathan Anand by 0,5 points, won the tournament with 14 points to his score, thus repeating his last year's success.



The total prize-fund of 18th Amber Blindfold and Rapid tournament is Euro 216,000.
