Papikyan says authorities committed to raising army fighting capacity

PanARMENIAN.Net - Defense Minister Suren Papikyan on Saturday, November 27 held consultations with Armenia's top military brass and maintained that the authorities are determined to support any measure necessary for increasing the fighting capacity of the armed forces.

Papikyan stressed the continuity and the efficient process of large-scale reforms currently underway in the Armenian army. At the same he demanded that commanders make every effort to resolve disciplinary issues in the armed forces.

The Defense Minister also stressed the importance of increasing the attractiveness of military service, expressing confidence that significant steps will be taken in this direction in the foreseeable future.
