Human microchipping coming to Georgia in spring

PanARMENIAN.Net - Microchips produced by BioHax International will be available in Georgia beginning from March 2022, Georgia Online reports.

The chips are inserted under the skin near the thumb on the right or left hand and can be used as electronic keys for entrance doors, cars, parking lots and so on.

The biochips will be available in the stories of iPlus, an authorized Apple reseller. Prices will vary depending on what users choose to use the chip for.

In summer 2020, PanARMENIAN.Net spoke to Biohax International CEO Jowan Österlund about the industry, the reason people chose to implant a biochip under their skin, why others have fears, how “owning your data should be a basic human right”, and whether the practice is possible in Armenia at all.
