PanARMENIAN.Net - French-Armenian midfielder Gor Manvelyan had his Coupe de France debut in the match between Nantes and AS Vitré on January 2 and he is already aiming to one day put on the jersey of the French national team.

Born in Armenia, the young man started playing football at the age of 5 in Saint-Lô, France to follow in the footsteps of his big brother. At the age of 12, he joined the French football club US Granville, and it was there, at the end of a league match, that a recruiter from FC Nantes showed up with his parents.

"It was a turning point in my life and that of my family," LMJ cited Manvelyan as saying. "My parents moved to Nantes to accompany me in this challenge. I left my brother and my sister behind in Saint-Lô. Being recruited by a prestigious club like FC Nantes was a shock and a pleasure."

"Football used to be a dream. Now it's a job with goals: like becoming a great football player, and to one day wear the jersey of the French team.
