PanARMENIAN.Net - An Anania Shirakatsi International Educational Complex will be established in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in September 2022 to improve the quality of education in the country, State Minister Artak Beglaryan has said.

"It will be an extension of the educational complex in Yerevan. We are bringing their entire educational program, which is part of the international baccalaureate, to Artsakh," Beglaryan said.

The State Minister also revealed that the budget for Artsakh's education sector has increased by 17.6% in 2022 against the previous year, reaching over AMD 17.3 billion (over $36 million).

"The growing budget envisages an increase in the salaries of employees in the field of education, including science, culture and sports, by an average of 20%," he said.
