Armenia consumer price index grew by 7.2% in 2021

PanARMENIAN.Net - In 2021, the consumer price index in Armenia increased by 7.2% against the previous year, according to the Ministry of Economy.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) is a measure that examines the weighted average of prices of a basket of consumer goods and services, such as transportation, food, and medical care.

In January-December 2021, the services industry grew by 7.8%, trade turnover by 7.5%, construction by 7.4%, while industrial products by 3.3%.

In the reporting period, the field of agriculture shrank by 1.1%.

The Asian Development Bank has forecasted a 3.5% GDP growth for Armenia in fiscal year 2022.
