Yerevan, London discuss relations, Armenian PoWs in Baku

PanARMENIAN.Net - Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Britain's Minister of State for Europe and North America on Friday, March 4 discussed 30 years of diplomatic relations between Armenia and the United Kingdom and the ways to strengthen cooperation.

The sides spoke about democratic reforms currently underway in Armenia and the UK's support for the process.

They also weighed in on regional security and stability, with Mirzoyan detailing about the situation created after the 44-day war in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and Azerbaijan's incursion into Armenia.

Mirzoyan also noted that Azerbaijan is still holding 38 Armenian prisoners of war and civilians hostage , while the fate of hundreds of missing persons, including dozens of victims of enforced disappearance, remains unknown.
