Azerbaijanis kill Iranian citizen on the border

PanARMENIAN.Net - An armed incident took place on the border between Azerbaijan and Iran, during which the Azerbaijanis killed an Iranian citizen, Interfax.az reports.

According to the State Border Service of Azerbaijan, 6 people attempted to cross the border from Iran to Azerbaijan. One of them identified as Behnam Belayi was killed, with border guards later discovering a Kalashnikov assault rifle and three packages of drugs with a total weight of over 32 kg with him.

"The remaining five people, taking advantage of the reedy terrain and darkness, were able to go into hiding," the Border Service said.
