Repatriation of Armenian PoWs stressed at meeting with EU envoyApril 22, 2022 - 17:40 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar have discussed the repatriation of Armenian prisoners of war and other detainees from Azerbaijan. Meeting in Yerevan on April 22, the sides also weighed in on other humanitarian issues, as well as the implementation of the agreements reached as a result of the April 6 meeting in Brussels, the prospects of unblocking the economic and transport infrastructure of the region. President of the European Council Charles Michel said earlier that he supports Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's efforts to promote peace in South Caucasus. Michel's reaction comes on the heels of his meeting with Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Brussels on April 6.
