Armenian President raises PoW return with ICRC chief

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturian has raised the return of all Armenian prisoners of war from Azerbaijan at a meeting with President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Peter Maurer

The two me on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, with Khachaturian stressing the importance of continued active cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross in solving a number of humanitarian problems.

Khachaturian stressed the importance of ensuring the return of Armenian prisoners of war, hostages and civilians, who, after the 44-day war unleashed against Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), are still being held by Azerbaijan.

The President emphasized the need for the active involvement of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the matter.

The search for the missing during the Artsakh war was also on the table.
