‌Lavrov: OSCE Minsk Group no longer active on U.S., France initiative

PanARMENIAN.Net - The OSCE Minsk Group has ceased to work on the initiative of the American and French sides, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in Azerbaijan on Friday, June 24, Interfax.az reports.

Lavrov stressed that the Armenian side has reaffirmed its commitment to the delimitation of the borders. “We are now discussing the date of the meetings. I received confirmation from the Armenian side that the process of border delimitation is very important,” the Foreign Minister said.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said, meanwhile, that the co-chairs were asked to give a vision of the post-war situation in the region, but that they failed to come up with any proposals.

"The work of the OSCE Minsk Group has recently been paralyzed for well-known reasons. The negotiation process cannot be a hostage of the format," Bayramov claimed.
