Yerevan, Lyon sign Memorandum of Understanding

PanARMENIAN.Net - Relations between the cities of Yerevan and Lyon will enter a new stage after a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two municipalities on Wednesday, June 29.

The parties have thus pledged to join efforts in the field of education, supporting the development of the French-Armenian Vocational Training Center.

Under the document, the program of reorganization of the Crafts and Qualifications Campus will be implemented, which will allow improving the center and implementing new educational programs in demand in the labor market.

About 200 students are currently studying at the French-Armenian Vocational Training Center, and a repaired building will allow more young people to be admitted.

A delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan is traveling in the French cities of Marseilles, Lyon and Paris from June 26 to July 7. During the trip, Sargsyan will participate in events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the partnership between Yerevan and Marseille, the fourth conference of the Armenian-French decentralized cooperation in Lyon, as well has hold meetings with his partners in Marseilles, Lyon and Paris.
