ARMENIA ALWAYS FULFILLED OBLIGATIONS ON TREATY ON CONVENTIONAL ARMS IN EUROPE, ARMENIAN DEFENSE MINISTRY STATES
Armenia has always met the commitments on the Treaty on conventional arms in Europe. Armenian defense ministry press secretary Seyran Shahsuvarian told "Arminfo" agency about it denying the report of "ANS" Azeri TV company that Armenia broke the terms of the Treaty. According to "ANS," the military equipment taken out of Georgia is allegedly being passed to the Armenian party. In response to that statement Seyran Shahsuvarian noted that even if military materiel is being taken out of Georgia, it is not passed to the Armenian party, but is set at the Russian military base in Gyumri. In his words, according to the treaty on conventional arms in Europe, specialists constantly monitor the military arsenal of Armenia. The latest monitoring, in which Turkish specialists also participated, was held quite recently, the press secretary added. According to another report of the Azeri TV company, Armenia is allegedly concealing part of its armaments in the territory of Nagorno Karabakh. Commenting on that statement, Seyran Shahsuvarian noted, "Nagorno Karabakh has its own army, and a part of its equipment was taken from the Azeri army as a result of successful military operations."
