Armenia, U.S. discuss development of bilateral ties in Yerevan

Secretary of Armenia's Security Council Chief Armen Grigoryan met with Director of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency William Burns on Friday, July 15 to discuss the development of bilateral ties.

"During the meeting, I presented the regional security environment, existing challenges and Armenia's approach to establishing peace in the region," Grigorya wrote on social media.

"In this context, we discussed the Armenia-Azerbaijan and Armenia-Turkey negotiation processes."

Burns earlier met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The sides discussed issues related to international and regional security and the fight against terrorism. The processes taking place in the South Caucasus region were also on the table․
