Karabakh: Situation on contact line was relatively stable overnight

PanARMENIAN.Net - The situation on the contact line between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan was relatively stable despite the ongoing tension, the Karabakh Defense Army said Friday, August 12.

No significant violations of the ceasefire or incidents were registered.

"Together with the Russian peacekeeping troops, steps are being taken to further stabilize the situation," the Defense Army added.

On August 3, the Azerbaijani armed forces launched an attack and attempted to cross the line of contact in a number of sections of the northern and northwestern border zone. Azerbaijan used UAVs and grenade launchers, killing two Armenian servicemen and injuring 19 others.
