Armenia: Over 7000 citizenship applications submitted in Jan-Aug

PanARMENIAN.Net - 7383 people applied for Armenian citizenship in the first 8 months of 2022, the police said in a report on Tuesday, September 20.

The number has almost tripled since last year, when only 2619 such applications were received in January-August.

Deputy Chief of Police Ara Fidanyan told the country's parliament in early May that since the end of February, the number of those wishing to obtain Armenian citizenship had tripled. A total of 8,591 applications for citizenship were submitted throughout 2021.
