Implementation of agreements stressed at Pashinyan-Erdogan meeting

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a meeting in Prague on Thursday, October 7, during which the speedy implementation of agreements reached by the special representatives of the two countries was emphasized.

According to a statement from Pashinyan’s office, the two stressed the importance of direct contacts and high-level meetings in the context of Armenia-Turkey rapprochement.

Pashinyan and Erdogan discussed the process of normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations and possible further steps in that direction.

“The need for the speedy implementation of the agreements reached as a result of the discussions of the special representatives of the two countries was emphasized. In particular, it refers to the opening of the land border for citizens of third countries, the implementation of direct air cargo transportation between Armenia and Turkey,” Pashinyan’s office said in a statement.

After the meeting, Erdogan told a press conference that he “sincerely” believes that Turkey and Armenia can achieve full normalization on the basis of good neighborly relations in the region.
