Azerbaijan violates ceasefire after midnight

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijani military used various caliber firearms to violate the ceasefire after midnight, the Armenian Defense Ministry said Wednesday, October 12.

The Armenian troops took retaliatory measures to silence the Azerbaijanis. No casualties were reported.

The situation is relatively stable as of Wednesday morning, the Defense Ministry added.

The latest round of fighting between the two countries began in the wee hours of September 13, when the Azerbaijani military attacked Armenian posts and shelled Armenian settlements both on the border and deep behind the frontline. More than 200 people are dead or missing as a result, the Security Council of Armenia said on Monday.
