Armenia sees EU as

PanARMENIAN.Net - Secretary of the Armenian Security Council Armen Grigoryan has described the European Union as an additional guarantor of security in the region

Grigoryan made the remarks at a meeting with members of the EU technical assessment mission that arrived in Armenia on Friday. The Secretary confirmed Yerevan's readiness to support the mission in all matters.

"Grigoryan also stressed the mission's role as an additional guarantor of security in the region. The parties discussed a number of issues related to the activity of the mission," the press service of the Security Council said.

The decision to deploy a civilian mission was reached at a meeting between the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, France and the European Union.
