Russia: Armenia will “definitely” remain in CSTO

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia will definitely remain in the CSTO despite difficulties, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskovtold reporters following the organization's summit in Yerevan on Wednesday, November 23, TASS reports.

"Of course, it will remain," Peskov answered the question of whether Armenia would remain in the CSTO.

"The event (the CSTO summit – Ed.), despite all the complexity, despite the fact that, as the leaders said during their speeches, not everything was agreed upon, the event once again confirmed the relevance of this format, the relevance and viability of the CSTO," the Kremlin spokesman added.

It was during said summit that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan refused to sign a CSTO declaration on “joint measures to provide assistance to the Republic of Armenia”, maintaining that the document “has not been sufficiently finalized.”
