During his visit on December 1-4, Ambassador Reeker will meet with government officials, members of civil society, and others to discuss U.S. support for direct talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan to reach a lasting peace. ![]() ![]() Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan has said Armenia will, in all likelihood, ratify the Rome Statute. Vaqif Sadiqov has threatened that his country’s military will deploy sniper rifle if EU observers approach the border between the two countries.
