Armenia, EU discuss normalization with Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar met on Thursday, December 8 to discuss issues related to the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan

According to a statement from Pashinyan’s office, the two weighed in on the latest developments related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as ensuring the rights and security guarantees of the Karabakh Armenians.

The sides exchanged thoughts on issues related to regional security, peace and stability, border delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and the process of unblocking the transport infrastructure of the region.

The parties emphasized the deployment of the EU civilian mission in Armenia and referred to its activities.

Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the importance of further discussions in the format of the Prague meeting.
