Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Fourth CIS Department Denis Gonchar has accused Western countries of trying to drive a wedge between Russia and Armenia, TASS reports (via Lenta.ru).

The diplomat said on Friday, December 9 that Russia expects to continue to resolve all issues through honest and frank communication with Armenia.

“We see how emissaries from Washington and Brussels have lately become more active in the republic, alongside all kinds of pro-Western structures that are trying to set the authorities and the people against Russia, but they are actually working against the national interests of Armenia,” he said.
