Canada urges Azerbaijan to unblock Karabakh corridor

PanARMENIAN.Net - Canada has urged the authorities of Azerbaijan to reopen a corridor connecting Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh.

“Canada is closely monitoring the closure of the Lachin corridor,” the country’s Foreign Ministry said on social media Wednesday, December 14.

“We call on the Azerbaijani authorities to reopen the corridor and ensure freedom of movement to avoid any potential humanitarian impact.”

The Foreign Ministry also called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to continue negotiatin to resolve all issues though peaceful dialogue.

For several days now, the key road has been blocked by Azerbaijanis who claim to be environmentalists. Azerbaijan has also deprived the people of Karabakh of gas supplies.”
