Congressman Pallone joins Capitol rally against Karabakh blockade

PanARMENIAN.Net - Congressman Frank Pallone on Thursday, February 2 attended a demonstration at the Capitol against Azerbaijan’s blockade of a key road in Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh).

“Demonstrators were at the Capitol today opposing Azerbaijan’s illegal and inhuman blockade of the Lahin Corridor,” paloone wrote on Twitter.

“I proudly stood with them in calling for the United States to hold Aliyev accountable for his human rights abuses against the people of Artsakh.”

Since December 12, the sole road connecting Nagorno Karabakh to Armenia - the Lachin Corridor - has been blocked by self-described Azerbaijani environmentalists. Karabakh residents have reported food and fuel shortages, while hospital patients don't have access to essential medicines, with only a handful allowed transfer to facilities in Armenia proper.
