Armenian Foreign Minister, OSCE envoy talk Karabakh blockade

PanARMENIAN.Net - On February 13, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan met with Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, in Yerevan.

During the meeting, issues on regional security and stability were discussed.

The interlocutors touched upon the normalization process of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, developments on the draft peace treaty.

The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh resulting from the blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan was also discussed.

Since December 12, the sole road connecting Nagorno Karabakh to Armenia - the Lachin Corridor - has been blocked by self-described Azerbaijani environmentalists. Karabakh residents have reported food and fuel shortages, while hospital patients don't have access to essential medicines, with only a handful allowed transfer to facilities in Armenia proper.
