Armenia Foreign Minister to travel to Turkey

PanARMENIAN.Net - On February 15, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan will travel to Turkey, almost 10 days after a devastating earthquake struck region and caused tens of thousands of deaths.

Mirzoyan will meet the Armenian rescue team that carries out search and rescue operations in the earthquake-affected city of Adiyaman.

During the trip, a meeting between Mirzoyan and the Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu will be held in Ankara.

The disaster, with a combined death toll in Turkey and neighbouring Syria exceeding 41,000, has ravaged cities in both countries, leaving many survivors homeless in near-freezing winter temperatures, Reuters says.
