Head of RA National Standards Institute guarantees the quality of production with 001 for the first 3 figures in serial code number
Product quality does not always correspond to information specified on product label. ''I guarantee the quality of products with 001 for the first 3 figures in serial code number,'' Head of RA National Standards Institute at RA Ministry of Economy, Enoq Azaryan told a news conference on Wednesday.
According to him, over 20 private product quality standardization companies, who've received the state licenses are operating in Armenia. Products with 002-0003 for license code were certified by private companies. ''This often leads to confusion among consumers - as to whether the license was issued by National Standards institute or private organizations,'' he explained.
He also noted that RA National Standards Institute does not regulate the activities or bear responsibility for private organizations, adding that every structure has to do its work. ''Complaints are often filed to the Institute, which reflects the negligence of corresponding structures,''
