Armenia moves to abandon CSTO Deputy Sec-Gen quota

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia has decided to abandon the quota of the Deputy Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Vahan Hunanyan, press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told Sputnik Armenia on Friday, March 10.

"Yes, we have submitted such a proposal to the CSTO," Hunanyan said.

Hunanyan did not elaborate.

In early January, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Armenia refused to host the military exercises "Indestructible Brotherhood-2023" of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the CSTO on its territory.

The CSTO includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
